Food-packaging advice for the decision at hand.

We review materials, pack formats, supplier proposals and packaging rules. Every project begins with an agreed question, scope and fee.

Packaging Question Review / $950 USD

A closer look at one packaging question.

If you are weighing a supplier’s proposal or considering a change to a food pack, this review gives you a written technical assessment of the information you already have. It covers one product and pack, one packing process, one target market and up to two agreed documents. We assess those documents against the application agreed in the brief.

The $950 USD fee includes a 30-minute remote briefing, our review of the documents, a written note and one written clarification. We confirm who will review the work and when it will be delivered before you pay. Once we have the complete brief and documents, allow 7–10 business days, subject to availability.

What the review can establish

The written note explains what the supplied information supports, which assumptions remain, and what needs confirming through supplier data, laboratory testing or a production trial. Conditions on your packing line and through storage and distribution need to be checked on the finished pack. Your team decides when a pack is ready for production.

We work from documents and the information you provide. We do not perform laboratory tests, certify packs or give legal advice. We quote larger comparisons and any material sourcing separately.

Ask about a Question Review

Before you enquire

A few practical questions.

Why pay for a review when we can do the research ourselves?

If your team can resolve the question confidently, you may not need us. A review is useful when you have supplier data but still need to work out how it applies to your food, packing line or target market. We put the agreed information in one written assessment, explain what it supports and identify the questions or tests that remain.

What if we leave the question alone?

If the current pack works and no change is planned, there may be nothing to review. If you are considering a new material or format, an unanswered question may hold up a purchase or trial later. A document review can identify that question, but cannot establish how a pack will perform in production.

Can you review a film or tray proposed by our supplier?

Yes. Tell us about the food, packing process and target market, and share the proposal. We can assess what the supplier’s data establishes for that application and identify performance questions that need testing on the finished pack.

Can you help with a pack sold outside Canada or Australia?

Yes. We work remotely and agree the countries or regions covered by each review. Our report identifies the sources used and any point that calls for local legal advice, testing or certification.

Do you test packaging or certify compliance?

We provide technical advice based on the information reviewed. Where a conclusion depends on a laboratory result, production trial or formal regulatory interpretation, we will say what additional work is needed.

Material & supplier sourcing

Find materials that fit the brief.

If you need a new film, tray, paper structure or other packaging material, we can help define what it must do, look for potential suppliers and examine the technical information they provide. Peter Stevenson, our technical lead, reviews the material assessment before we present the options.

You choose the supplier and buy the material directly from them. We quote our sourcing work separately, with the search, assessment and introductions set out before we begin. Supplier pricing, availability and final pack performance need confirmation with the supplier and, where appropriate, through testing or a production trial.
